Medical Assistant

Under the supervision of a physician, Practice Manager, Nurse and/or Director of Nursing, the Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting the healthcare team with the care and management of patients during their visit.
The Medical Assistant will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to maintain and support the office and to assure efficient patient flow through the office.
The MA will also assist the physician or other clinical staff with procedures, treatments, specimen collection and communication to patients.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Assistant certification through one of the following organizations required within 90 days of hire:
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), American Medical Certification Agency (AMCA)- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMA), National Health Career Association (NHA) - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT) - Registered Medical Assistant (RMA),American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Phlebotomy Solutions (NPS)- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), National Association of Health Professionals- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
Current American Heart Association BLS (basic life support) for healthcare workers (with AED) required.
Previous experience preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
